About

My name is Beth. And this is my purpose for this blog: to fearlessly explore other religious beliefs and encourage everyone to examine their own beliefs with a critical eye, just as I have done with my own. Never be afraid to go through your own beliefs with a fine-toothed comb. If you find a loose thread, keep pulling. If something is true, then it can stand up to whatever scrutiny is thrown its way. I will be primarily examining belief systems that are offshoots of Christianity: Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Seventh-Day Adventists. Are these genuine sects of Christianity? What are their core beliefs? In what ways do they differ from classic Christianity? These are only a few of the questions I hope to answer on this adventure I am embarking upon. I warmly invite all who read this to join me.

Before we begin, allow me to clarify that I have no formal theological training. I am simply a layperson who loves reading the Bible and studying theology and apologetics. Understand, then, that the posts that follow are not academic in nature. They are simply my own observations backed by research. Any beliefs that differ from my own will be treated with respect. However, also understand that I will never sacrifice Biblical truth for the comfort of others. My end goal for all who stumble upon this blog is to know the peace, joy, hope, and love that comes from a relationship with Christ.
